Bernie Walsh
Bernie Walsh was born in Melbourne in 1955, educated at Whitefriars College and completed a Diploma of Art and Industrial Design. He specialised as an Automotive Designer and quickly rose to the position of Chief Designer for the Nissan Motor Company. The establishment of his own design business gave him the opportunity to work on several significant projects which included the car design for the Orbital Engine Company's S2S launched in 1996. He has illustrated the profile for Automotive Business for the Australian Newspaper for the past four years and is currently working on several projects for automotive companies within Australia and overseas. Walsh combined his love of painting with his experience in design to create his first body of work over ten years ago. His crisp colours and drawing style brought Victoria's Southern Peninsula to life and captured the attention of collectors Australian wide. His published works have broken all records in Australia and have now been launched in the United States. He has been the recipient of numerous art awards and has had several successful exhibitions. His work is featured in corporate and private collections in Australia and abroad.
